chironcentaur just called me.
We THOUGHT our shower was fixed. It doesn't leak, it drains properly.
But it won't switch from faucet to shower, and the knob came out of the wall.
What the hell is the problem with this place???? I don't get it. Why can't things just work the way they're meant to?
