Playing around with the work camera...just decided to try and grab a snap or two of me with the newly-punched hole.

The first picture, for some odd reason I just really like though it makes me look about 14...

And in the other two, you can actually see the piercing as a little bright spot.

Oh yeah...and those are the not-so-new-at-this-point glasses. Bad lighting and image quality so they look black, but they're purple. I generally look horrid having my picture taken with glasses, but these really aren't bad.

Wow, that appears to be lower down than usual. But that could just be where the light is.

Definitely just the light and/or camera angle- the piercing sits right in the little concave curve of my nostril- the first picture looks a little more accurate than the second.

I was just looking for pics of you to put a face with the name :)

I noticed you're a Kerouac fan. My parents grew up in the same town (didn't know him tho). The Kerouac Park and monuments are just a few minutes walk away.

cute pics!

Curiously enough I haven't gotten to it yet.

It's funny, when I was growing up, Kerouac was this black sheep that folks didn't want to talk about. Suddenly like around 2000 or 2001 he became this heroic literary figure, there were retrospectives of his work, parks, etc.

I'm sure it was the same for Whistler. The old, old timers around here (I belong to a historical society) were told he was a miserable prick, but has since been sainted. Go figure.

Don't get me wrong, On The Road is a great book, way up there on my list...but I don't think it's his best...if you've never read it, The Town And The City is my favorite Kerouac I think.

Didn't realize that Whistler came from the same town. Have to say though, i'm not a huge fan of his art.
