Jul. 24th, 2008 09:45 pmI think I might be coming down with a cold (I really hope not though)...slightly sore, scratchy throat, nose becoming a bit scratchy...bleh.
I'm still here, really. Still recovering from last weekend. The rant is still forthcoming, fear not dear readers. For the moment though, I would like to extend my extreme appreciation to
pagandenma,
angelofastheny,
liritsvoice,
phil_g,
mydruid,
greenfernway,
dcnblus,
dance_shiva and Gavin's coworker Ray, all who helped us out in the moving process. I can't tell you how much we appreciate all y'all did.
So far, the new apartment is great and lemme tell ya, it's so much easier to walk up all those stairs without carrying a 30-pound box or piece of furniture.
On Sunday, we went to the grocery store to get stuff to eat...the first thing I cooked in my new house was a quiche. Two of them actually. They turned out beyond perfect. I had made the conscious choice to forgo the flour in the recipe so I didn't have to buy a huge bag just for two teaspoons - I'd one it before and only had to pour out a bit of excess liquid...I didn't even have that this time, it was great.
So my new stove is small but works well. Air flows nicely through our apartment so we're not dying just yet up on the fourth floor without air conditioning. (I'm not going to hold my breath into August though)
That's all for now.

(couldn't resist throwing in an Arrested Development reference) ;-)
