Shoud I Learn To Be A Better Liar?
Mar. 28th, 2004 11:14 pmMy sister asked me a question a few weeks back...nevermind what it was. I'm a horrible liar, any answer but the truth would have given me away anyway. So I answered the truth. Suddenly my personal life is my entire family's business.
(I have no desire to lie to my family or anyone, I just want my business to remain my business. And that's all I have to say about that.)

Date: 2004-03-29 06:23 am (UTC)Now, I may sound like a hipocrite, but I do lie to my family about my personal life and how things are going with me. You're right, it is none of their business. My family seems to want to know so much about my personal life, but doesn't bother to share important things that are going on in theirs, like medical conditions, issues that affect health, etc. I had to find out by a third party that my dad had a heart attack, because "he didn't want to worry me," or other things about family issues. Being far away doesn't mean I don't care, but...
Oh well, I have decided to do the same. Simply keep it to myself, and the people who will support, rather than criticize me & try to run my life (Like my family does). This is why they don't know about the job situation, and people like you, Renee, do. Because they wouldn't have said something like, "If you need a place to stay..." I have had so many people do that, and you're one.
So, if you need support, or someone to share important things with that won't be judgemental, let me know! And I just remembered the thing I was trying to remember last night! :) YAY!
