Stuff and...well, stuff.
Sep. 7th, 2009 04:41 amStill looking for a job, but spending plenty of quality time with
chironcentaur :-) I have a list of places I'm going to send resumés to, probably a little later today.
Also been playing a good bit of Soul Calibur III in the last few days- I just beat Chronicles of the Sword yesterday and have gone back to play it a second time- it is, of course, going much faster the second time around, seeing as all of my characters are up to levels where they can wreak all kinds of mayhem with little more than the flick of a finger :-P Switching around some weapons and stuff. It's fun. Woohoo for brainless nonsense.
I'm also lamenting the fact that I'm not a better artist, because if I could, I would love to do paintings of my characters- yeah, I think they're just that awesome-looking. They also amuse me, especially Bruce, my incredibly-stereotypically-gay-sounding swordmaster with the pastel lavender and tan costume. And Jan, my overly-serious-sounding ninja who looks like he belongs with the Three Musketeers. The other three are just badass. Yes, I am far too easily amused with my first efforts at creating video game characters.
I actually had a dream last night that I was a character in the game, and I was creating myself, going to the shops and picking out costume bits and stuff...and I really wanted to kick the shit out of the shopkeepers because they're so annoying and kept repeating the same lines as they do in the game...but I couldn't because I hadn't gotten to the weapons shop yet. I was just about to get there when I woke up.
In yet other news I have decided to leave the grove. This has been a decision long in the making- I started to consider it back in February 2008 when I left ADF's clergy training program after barely getting started on it. This just isn't what I need to be doing. (For the record, this was not prompted by events of the last few days. Most of you will not know what I'm talking about- that's okay, you're not missing anyhting interesting. For the very few who do, the subject is not up for discussion here.)

Date: 2009-09-08 02:59 am (UTC)Soul Calibur Legends is something you might want to check out if/when you get the Wii, if you liked the SC storyline in general.
