All right...trying to send out some resumé's here and I need some help.

I don't have MS Office, but y'know, people seem to like to have things sent to them as office docs. I created the document in Google docs, but when I try to download it and open in Wordpad, it only contains the first few lines.

I was, obviously, able to successfully email it to myself to try this, but now, when I try to email it to someone with Office to open it and check it out, it won't let me, says that to prevent spam, sending documents as attachments is limited.

I can't find anyhting in the help, besides two year old threads saying that you can't email documents at all, which is clearly not true any longer.

Does anyone know if there's some sort of time delay between sending, and being able to send again? How long is the time period?

*sigh*

Thanks for any help.

Edit: I think I have this figured out. Or, at the very least, I'm able to send documents. Woohoo and stuff?

And now to spam the world with resumés...bwahahaaaaaa.

I did just send one off to a rather vaguely-worded ad looking for a videoconferencing technician for Polycom equipment...though it's in DC. Not holding my breath but feel free to cross any available digits for me.

Thanks, I've been thinking about doing that, except that I've known several people have their systems completely screwed up after installing open office. I'd say screw it and do it anyway...but I don't have a clue where my XP install disc and license key is anymore (I am a bad computer tech...) It's quite likely that nothing would happen, but if it did...I'd be well up a creek.

Yeah, download Open Office.

Open Office (at least the Linux version) has a built-in PDF converter. I usually send my résumés as PDF documents using this unless the job ad requests another format.

I hadn't heard Open Office messed up systems ... maybe that was a few years ago? I installed it on someone's computer recently because they needed database functionality, and it seemed perfectly fine.
