Friday- went to movies with assorted coworkers...Wes, Heather, Todd, Joe, Robin. Started off at a diner in Towson getting dinner and being generally silly, then went to see Sky Captain. Movie was entertaining. I probably would not have gone to see it of my own initiative, but I was invited and it's been a long time snce I've gone to the movies. Kinda cheesy, kinda pointless, but entertaining nonetheless. After moie, we all hung out in a parking lot for a while, deciding what to do next..which never progressed beyond hanging out in the parking lot and being entertained by our surroundings and whatever came up. Crashed at Wes's since I had to be at work early Sautrday and by the time I got back to RTG, it would have bbeen time for me to turn around and leave again.

Saturday...got to work late, mostly thanks to the MTA, also because Wes told me to turn left when I should have turned right going to the bus stop. Worked and then went to check out an apartment in Parkville. A coworker was lookig for a roommate, I've been looking to move out of RTG...it works out nicely. Saw the place, found it agreeable. Decided to move. More on that later. Went over to [livejournal.com profile] vees's place for some fun and merriment...lit up some poi for the first time...however, Ben got a little overenthusiastic about me lighting up and soaked them for a good 2 minutes...not realizing that my idea of "soaking" is to dip my staff to the count of "one-onethousand" which is more than enough for a rather substantial burn...that's a significant difference. I didn't really try anyitng besides spinning to the sides...had to keep pausing, which isn't too bright when the flames are almost hitting your fingers. Finally dropped them to the ground and pulled my hands back a bit, got somewhat dizzy and pried them off my fingers. Intended to try again later but hat never happened because i was distracted by shiny objects or something. Hung out there into the wee hours, Peter gave me a ride home where we babled about music and slleep andhow music affects sleep or someting of that nature.

Sunday- slept late. Bummed around house. Probably watched a DVD. Went grocery shopping. Nothing interesting. Spent gobs of time on the phone waiting for Earthlink tech support to pick up. Confused the tech by informing him that I had an issue unresolved for weeks, 2 escalated troubletickets and the problem still going on, told him that I wanted the issue escalated without going through the "let's try another outlet" mess that I went through before I ever called in the first place. Eventually got through to someone with a clue who determind that it had to do with

Monday- was going to go to DC but I woke up and decided that I didn't feel like dealing with public transportation that early in the morning on a day that I didn''t have to. Went too Rite Aid and picked up some hair dye. Stopped by [livejournal.com profile] odalisques's on the way home..she thinks all of our problems could be solved with the use of white boards and dry-erase markers and that there should be a government program in place for the distribution of said articles. I must say...I agree. it would solve a LOT of my problems lately (Smiley face!)

Tuesday- worked. Got into a funk about various issues I'm having with my job and a general feeling of frustration and incompetance which doesn''t seem to be getting better overal...and I KNOW that I'm not incompetant....but more about that later. Maybe. Ended the night with what amounted to an hour-long pep talk from Herland. Light rail was a mess, participated in some amusing banter with Chris before I left the offfice, hopped on a bus and was shuttled all over Hell and Creation before finally being dropped off one stop south of work to pick up the light rail again.

Wednesday- same. Light rail issues in the morning. Solved by evening. Left work, wandered down to Barnes and Noble at the Harbor. Some guy approached me begging for money, saying he was hungry. Told guy I don't carry cash, so he askked if I had a credit card would I buy him and his cousin a meal at one of the restaurants...and specified that it should be one of the nice ones (Ok...now THAT'S a new one- guy has some audacity.) So what do I do? Remembered that I had a couple of biscotti in the side pocket of my backpack...offered them that....hey, it's food, they said they're hungry. Guy looks at it kinda distastefully but takes it anyway and thanks me, the other guy that he said was his cousin thanked me too...I get about 10 steps away and they throw the biscotti in the harbor. Well gee...how hungry were they?

Thursday...work. Woke up 7 minutes before I had to be out of the house. Nothing of interest

-Yesterday- nice slow day at work. Mostly short, easy calls. Plenty of time between. Spent Copious Gobs Of Time taking online quizzes. None interesting enough to post results.

-Today- woke up again only minutes before I had to leave. Dressed and brushed teeth in a hurry, got to bus stop Just In Time.Got to work, retrieved the last of my bag of mini peppermint patties and found at the bottom a mail-in coupon for a 16-ounce bag of twizlers. Hmm...woohoo?

Now I have a half hour to kill.

Any Questions?
