It's kinda sad that when all is said and done, it's almost a relief to be at work. Even if I have been moved. Even if I am facing a wall. Even if I had to go and retrieve my filing cabinet and now it's on my left instead of my right and I keep opening Joan's cabinet by mistake (Joan would be the new deskmate. I think we've spoken 10 words the entire time I've worked here. I'm guessing that things won't be so lively for me now....I can always turn around and yell halfway across the room to Herland and Debby....but I have to email to talk to Brian and Kevin since they're downstairs now.

I voted today. It was massively painful...long story short, they eneded up deciding that I had to vote on a provisional ballot. But I voted. I got the little sticker and everything.

I moved to the new apartment Sunday. Thanks to Eric, Becca and Tanner for the help, it was quick and (mostly) painless. Er, mostly painless once they arrived...before that, I was a bit manic and feeling ridiculously overwhelmed. I went back to RTG yesterday and got most of the remainder of my stuff out...there's a bit to do yet which shouldn't take more than an hour or so tomorrow night.

Tonight, I think I'll go to Brewer's...I missed Mick's last night, what with the finishing up moving stuff.

Sunday after the move, I went to Hampden and spun for the Halloween thing. It was windy, kids were yelling "drop it! drop it!" I was far too distracted by that combination. I walke over to some kids, flaming staff in hand and told them (oh so nicely) to shut the hell up. They backed off and shut up.

Yes kids, I have fire. You have flammable costumes. Any questions?

After that, I went with Rob, Suzy, Kathleen, Gavin, Eric, Lynda, Becca and Becca's friends to Frasiers and had some really fabulous chicken quesadillas. Ou server was really cool.

Once this week winds down and I get used to the move and the move at work, I think my brain will go back to normal (OK...no comments about that one unless you want to be hurt.)

Blueberry tea is good.

My biggest regret in life...at the moment...is that I wore a chenille sweater today. And it's fairly warm. The caveat is that there was a tshirt in my backpack. So I guess everyhitng worked out after all.

My new room is on the southeast corner of my building. It has a window on both south and east walls. Maximum sunlightage. Woo Hoo.

Now to get some furniture...

Bottom line...New Year. New Apartment. New Desk. New Supervisor. New Computer...when I get ahold of Jes.

Oh yeah...I touch-typed most of this post. Don't I Rock?
