Jan. 23rd, 2005 03:48 pmSo I've decided that i'm sick of carting around the same backpack that I've had since I was 18. It's still in (mostly) ok shape...the one strap being the exception. I decided to make myself a new bag of backpack-type usefulness. And I recently dismantled my recycled silk shawl..it was way too heavy for itself (very loose, open crocheting with rather heavy yarn.it was literally falling apart because of itself...thought it was incredibly cool) so i'm using that to make me a bag. crocheting in an extremely dense manner this time. it's kinda making my hands hurt.
And I worked yesterday, but we shut down at 5. Got a ride home form a coworker. On the highway some smacktard slammed on their brakes in front of us. Carie lost control for a few seconds and we fairly narrowly missed hitting a guardrail...but we were going really slowly so if anyhing had happened, it probably wouldn't have been much more than surface damage to the fender. And all that was on the other side of the rail was a very small ditch before the land sloped back up a steep hill...so we wouldn't have driven off a cliff or anything. I came home and made a yummy dinner of shrimp, veggies and pasta, then locked myself in my room and stayed up all night crocheting the aforementioned bag.
I want to go to the grocery store and get some mango tea...but it's far too cold to go out just to get some tea while I already have plenty of tea. Plus, the Giant right up the street doesn't have it, so I would be venturig at least down to Mars on Northern Parkway.
Oh...
gingerpetunia I did get your message about help with moving. A truck would be very useful! I'll let you know as soon as I talk to Deborah as to precidely when I'm rolling out.
I'm hungry. Haven't eaten yet today...time to make somethign.
I'm still in my pajamas...hehehehe
