Recent non-news...

Read a couple of books while I was sick. Phillip Pullman's Dark Materials Trilogy. Good books.

Also just finished reading Jack Kerouac's Maggie Cassidy last night. It's a good book, but didn't really hold my attention the way On The Road and The Town And The City did.

Long over being sick, but coughing a bit, voice gets kinda froggy from time to time.

And then there's the eternal...I've been thinking again.

One of these days I might stop this.

So anyway...Y'know how I was saying that I'd really like to go to Iceland in June? And How I've been saying I am going to get a 17" Powerbook? I want to do both, but at this point, in the time frame we're talking about, I could do one or the other. Well...the reasons for getting a Powerbook are a little more pressing in my mind right now. So I think I'm going to put Iceland off for the time being.

A journey that I *DO* think I'll make, however will be to wander up to Rhode Island sometime this summer for at least a few days. I still want to move there in the next few years, and for all that I've only ever spent a grand total of maybe 6-8 hours there in my entire life. Taking a trip there will serve to reinforce my half-baked plan, or put it to rest.

I'm not as sure if I am really planning to do the Burning Man think this year. I still want to go...but I want to do other things. And If I can find a way to make it happen, "other things" may very well mean a month or two travelling around the country by train. I've wanted to do it for, well...how long have I been saying now? Several years. I've done a good bit of digging into information in the past. It really wouldn't be all that expensive. And I know people all over the country.
