Jul. 28th, 2005 08:53 amSo there's an employee here, who doesn't work on the phones...EVERY DAY I have to ask her to turn her music down because I can hear it 20 feet away, over the music playing on my own computer, over the people I have to deal with, over the din of everyone else around me. And she's all nice and "Oh my God I'm so sorry!" about it. And turns it down, but within an hour, It's right back up again. I've already spoken to the supervisor of that group...more in a general "Some people play their music too loud, could you please remind them that they're sitting smack in the middle of an office full of people who work on the phone?" way and for a few days it was better, but it started again....grrrrrrr....I may have to be more specific. I don't want to be a tattle tale, but I CANNOT take Destiny's Child and Mariah Carey all day long (On top of EVERYTHING else), and speaking to her obviously isn't doing it.
...or I could just figure out a good way to disable her audio output....

clip the metal plug off of a set of headphones. Stick it into the headphone socket on her computer. Hopefully, it will make the computer think that there are headphones attached and not play sound, while blocking the socket.
