Nevermind that New Orleans is just plain in a bad place geographically.....

“New Orleans now is abortion free. New Orleans now is Mardi Gras free. New Orleans now is free of Southern Decadence and the sodomites, the witchcraft workers, false religion..."

All I can think of when reading this...is what happened to New Orleans. (Actually, you kinda have to wonder if this guy is speaking against, or promoting the events, for all the detail he goes into...dates, times, location etc)

"Maybe God's Going To Cleanse Us."

OK people...Sorry, I'm really gonna have to say in response to the whole "God's telling us we need to repent" thing...well I really disagree with that. I'm no theological expert, but this is ridiculous.

And this is really gonna get their knickers in a twist...

But that makes G-d and oath-breaker!

Didn't G-d say, in Genesis, that he wouldn't use flooding to destroy the sinners anymore? Isn't that what the rainbow means?

you're right!
but religious nuts only use the bible verses that are convenient to them. and they can twist anything to have it read what they want.

...which is at least as bad as those who choose to outrightly ignore it.

Ignorance comes in many flavors- some of them a lot more pungent than others.

Genesis 9:11-15 (from the KJV; emphasis mine)...

11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

God said he wouldn't use flooding to destroy everyone, and as such that he would not flood the world. There isn't anything in that covenant about never flooding anywhere again.
