I *Don't* Get It.
Oct. 4th, 2005 09:10 pmHow do so many people watch Sex And The City...and enjoy it?
Granted I've only seen a couple of PG-13 TBS edits, But I can't imagine being able to overlook um...what is it about the show? OH YEAH! *Smacks forehead* The characters. Can we say vapid?
Not to mention the fact that acress playing the redhead...what's her name...Miranda? Has what has GOT to be the most annoying face I've ever seen.
Yeeeeeah. If I'm gonna watch TV, I'll take cheesy WB shows any day, thanks.

Date: 2005-10-05 01:43 am (UTC)I LOVE Sex And The City. It's SO great. And yeah, it's better when it's not all edited out... It's not supposed to be deeply intellectual you know. ;)

Date: 2005-10-05 03:30 am (UTC)That, and Kim Cattrall, are two of the biggest reasons why i like the show so much.

Date: 2005-10-05 12:54 pm (UTC)Aside from the fact that it's morally filthy and intellectually vacant, it's not even a funny or make-you-want-to-watch-the-next-episode-interesting show. Kinda reminds me of Ally McBeal, except more worthless (...and how did Lucy Liu make such a dynamic career off of being such an uppity bitch, anyway? /tangent).
...so, in short, I know what you mean. Bah to all TV-watchers, anyway. =\

Date: 2005-10-05 01:04 pm (UTC)but I mean like, Dawson's Creek, Gilmore Girls, Smallville etc.
I'm basing this on about 2 and 1/4 edited episodes of satc...but that doesn't seem like a very realistic basis for learning about relationships. Of those two, I'd say Dawson's Creek is far more realistic.
