On an unrelated note, a few days ago while surfing through iTunes podcasts, I found a series of podcasts that kinda piqued my curiousity...titled "Sex And The Bible" which I proceeded to download and slap on the ipod. Liquid Baptist Church in New Jersey held a series of 9 lectures sometime last year on the allegory of the Song Of Solomon...and they eventually released it as podcasts. I'm about halfway through listening to the last one. It's....well, it's really interesting. Some aspects I find to be rather impressive...others...well, there's a lot that I disagree with. The pastor who gave these lectures, Tim Lucas, did a really good job all in all...very intelligently spoken-even if I really disagree with a lot of what was said (Though I found a surprising number of ideas that I actually agreed with), a LOT of humor and the whole things was generally very surprising compared to much of what I've seen and heard from so many Baptist churches (No, I'm not exactly rushing out to convert.)
Further commentary at some point in the future when I've listened to the last of it, and probably go back and listen a second time, writing commentary as I go.
