WTF?

The bank returned my rent check..for insufficient funds...WHEN THERE WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH MONEY IN THE BANK TO COVER THE CHECK.

Supposedly it was deposited on the 3rd. When I asked them on Friday (the 4th) if that check had been deposited- because I was really confused to find the money still in my account- they said there was no activity on the account whatsoever the day before. I have deposit reciepts and stuff saying how much money I had in the bank.

It was really lucky that I got a call from Mea about this when I did because I was able to stop at the bank on my way to work and pull the money out of my account and deposit it into hers. (They wouldn't let me do this over the phone for some reason?)

In other news, I now own a copy of Illiad and The Odyssey. I only ordered it a month ago.

And I woke up this morning to some really whacked-out dreams.

I've been at my job for just about 2 years now. If you've read my journal for more than 30 seconds, you know there are a lot of things that irk me about it. Some things I have a harder time tolerating than others.

I think the one that gets me more than ANYTHING is "Can I talk to someone who knows what they're doing/is familiar with the issue/has experience with this?"

I've been here longer than most of the people in my office.
I can troubleshoot and resolve a vast majority of the issues that I get.
No, I don't deal with issues that are outside of my job. Yeah, good chance I know about it. Might even be able to fix it, but if it's not in my scope of support, I'M NOT TOUCHING IT.
Doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing.

People can ask to talk to "A supervisor" or "Someone higher up" more than anything. But the slightest implication of me not knowing what I'm doing is just about enough to set me off.

What is it, ego? Don't know what else.

It doesn't bothjer me if I get a really bizarre issue and say "You know I'm gonna have to admit I have no clue what this is." That happens sometimes. And then them asking to talk to someone else is just peachy no matter how they put it. But a majority of the people who do this are

1. Men who have been giving me problems the entire time I've had them on the line

and

2. Pissed off because I'm not just smiling and telling them what they want to hear.

I hate being talked to like an incompetant child. The insult is compounded a thousandfold when coming from some fucktard can't comprehend "Turn on your computer."

Wow, I've got two women fighting over me!

*giggle*

Edit: Make that 3 and talk of sharing? Wow, I'm popular
