Feb. 5th, 2006 06:00 pmWoke up this morning and went with Brigette to the Book Thing...got a small box of books. Went to the Grove where we proceeded to be very silly. After Walk With The Old Ones, Caryn, Deirdre, Kat and Will launched into a ful-on housecleaning of the Grove Space, and Bridgette and I left to go and meet this kitty that I was interested in adotping...
..I'm gonna get the kitty! Just gotta have Mea talk to the lady who runs the rescue (she talks to everyone in the house at least on the phone. and she normaly gets a vetrinarian's reference, but I don't have one since I havn't had a cat since moving to Baltimore, and Mom and Mike took care of vet stuff with all the previous cats.)
Anyway, her name is Ferarri because she likes to run after the other cats. She's about a year and a half old, she's white with a red ear and a black ear, and a red and white tail. She was just crawling al over me amost the whole time I was there with an occasional hop down for some food. So it took about 5 seconds to decide that she was mine. (Or I was hers as the case may be.)
After that I went back to the Grove and helped with the cleaning. I did a number on the healing room, but it stil needs work. I also mixed up a great room spray...about 7 or 8 drops each of rosemary, cedar and lavender oil and about half filled the bottle (a fairly small spray bottle) with water and spritzed liberally about the place. Smells soooooo good and really clears out the place. I have rosemary oil...need to get some cedar and lavender and mix some of my own up for the house.
So there are pictures of the kitty here for anyone who's interested in seeing...she's considerably bigger than the pictures make her look.
