I Get Into Trouble When I Have Nothing To Do.

Work is slow. Very slow. I'm sitting here with nothing to do and the entire internet at my disposal*.

That can't be good.

So i the last...eh...less than 24 hours, I've decided that I really should devote some time to studying Hellenic tradition, if that's the culture whose deities I feel the strongest connection. So I joined hellenic_pagans community.

And a few people have suggested that I look at Hellenion. So I did that. And I started poking around Witchvox. I'm going to join Hellenion. Their adult study program looks like it would be complimentary to my ADF work. And then I posted to the Grove website trying to figure out where other Grove members interests might fall regarding the Hellenic tradition. And I thought "Oooh, I have a brilliant idea! Study group!"

So I said in that post that I am interested in starting a study group. (Not necessarily grove-affiliated, probably meeting at my place). And then I posted to md_pagans about said idea. And I emailed the primary contact for the Hellenion Demos in DC for more information and asking about some possible guidance.

And then I started writing a notice for witchvox. I haven't posted there yet.

Ummm....am I insane? No, don't answer that. What starts out as "I should read a book or two" becomes "Oh, I'm going to start a group.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

*considers the Gods in question and wonders precisely WHO is masterminding this one*


*Well, maybe not QUITE the entire internet. Cause like, if you cut out the paid porn sites, you're probably down to about 32% of the internet left, right? So I have 32% of the internet at my disposal. Which is still a considerable amount of internet. I'm not paying for porn.

I might be interested in some stuff, but I am long distance so it'll be harder for me to join study groups. If you need some website storage or something for meeting information or something, let me know.

I mainly work with native american traditions, but Greek is a very close following.

but yeah...i'll let you know what happens when i get some responses. if i get a group started, no doubt there will be a recrd of information discussed and shared and it can be posted in an email group or something that people who aren't local/can't attend can access as well.
