So I think it's ok to talk about this in an unlocked entry now...not that it wasn't before, but I just didn't feel like I should have just yet.

Anyway, last night we decided a few things:

1. It's time to do somehting like this.

2. We'll never be entirely ready, we just have to do it.

3. Before we make any commitments to the station or anything, we're going to test-produce a couple of episodes and see if it's somehting we really are able to do.

4. We'll deal with the station itself and any questions about their motives when we make a descision if we're going to go any farther than testing stages. It may be that the time is right to do this project, but not necessarily through that venue. If that doesn't work out, there are other possibilities like producing a series of videos and distributing them through ADF regalia or other markets.

so that's the status of that...and I'm off to get ready for tomorrow.

Ha, I skipped the title and read the entry and was reading #'s 1 and 2 and I'm like, oh, hey, there's life strategy for leaping into action for decisions we're certain of.

And then I read #3 and was confused.

But they can all be translated into basic rules for life.

"Decide it's time, know you're not gonna know everything or ever be truly "ready," (Once you decide, you're ready) and walk across that bridge to action. It's okay to have someone hold your hand to cross the bridge, but make it your own adventure after the introduction, be curious and sate your curiousity. Observe and learn from what those already on the path are doing and saying and advising, but take the experience as cumulative knowledge. Everything you learn can usually be applied in a different situation and will be critical for deciding whether that path is for you and where to go from there."

Heh, that's where my mind is right now.
