So...whiole at the Grove yesterday, Steph and Jesse got the brilliant idea to wander up to PA to go rock hunting for Lunassagh. And of course...since I went with them we HAD to visit my family, lest Mumsie should kill me.

Agter a bunch of phone tag, we agreed that I would meet them at my suster's place in Mountville and Mom, Mike, Grandma Jane and my cousin Lily all came out to visit and we had dinner. Steph and Jesse chilled with my family for a few hours and Samantha came back with us for the week. Chelle and Dave are coming to get her either Saturday or Sunday (I'm hoping for Sunday. Mom's planning to come down too if she can, and if they do Sunday, they'll meet me at the Grove instead of coming to the house, and I really would like for my mom to see the Grove in person and get even a vague idea of what I'm doing. Plus I think Samantha would dig it.

Today, Steph, Samantha and I went up to Towson Town Center and walked around for a while. We played on computers at the Apple store, looked at jewlery way out of my price range at Fire & Ice and had pizza for lunch, then we ran over to The Other Side (Steph needed some incense) and then up to the old office to meet Jesse when he finished work. Tomorrow morning Samantha and I are going to see if we can watch airplanes for a while somewhere near BWI and then who knows? Wednesday we're thinking we might go up to White Marsh Mall to the new location of Karma- Samantha really digs stones and I can let her get a little bag full for $5...Won't Chelle love that? Samantha's also already gotten a few new shirts and a kitty cat blank book from Steph.

Oh, and the kid still drinks coffee (and by "coffee", we mean a cup of milk with just enough coffee in it to be able to taste it)...so she had coffee this morning in her Samantha-sized coffee mug (an espresso mug).

And in general, Steph and Jesse appear to be having a blast with Child around. The kid is a riot. Some of the things that she says....wooo.

Jesse played some video games with her this evening and while that went on, and while a DVD played, I cut out some of the pieces of the cloak I'm going to sew (Oh yeah...Saturday, Steph, Jesse, Matt, Jackie and I all went shopping for material for cloaks. It was quite a day. I'm making a summer cloak of batiked gauze. It's dyed in shades of yellow, orange and a bit of hot pink, with blue/purple/green/white batiked suns all over it. A hot pink and purple tassle for the hood, a white frog closure...and when I get the money to pick it up, a metallic green braid around the edging.

I also found the perfect fabric for an autumn cloak...if by any chance I have the money by early September (which I'm doubting, but I can hope)....a deep, rust-orange panne velvet outside lined in purple and orange Dupioni silk. (That reminds me...I need to sign up for Jo-Ann fabrics' mailing list...which makes it more likely for me to afford things because they send all sorts of courpons to people on their list. Annnnnd...done.)

Tired. Gotta sleep.
