on the way out to the Grove yesterday, Steph pinted out that the stained glass windows in a house across the street were cool, and I agreed (Blue/tan abstract kinda design...then I noticed that the house next door had a stained glass window with a pentacle in it, and realized that she was talking about that one. They're both pretty.

Then rinding the bus up Harford road, I looked out the window and up towards the top of a building...not sure what it used to be, but in tiled letters I saw the name "Apollo"

That house sounds absolutely gorgeous-- would that I could have read your post, driven up there, photographed it, and put it in the "my favorite designs" board that I'm presenting this morning. :)

As for Apollo, you'd probably like the company that I do freelance writing for. Apollo is the name of one of their systems (not one that I use, so I'm not sure what it does) and Hermes is the name of their database production system (the one I work on). Of course, Hermes is slow and down a lot, so I think it works out to be more of an insult to Him than a tribute.

BTW, when is the next open ritual at Cedar Light? And would you mind me asking a couple of logistical questions? (Especially this: what's the seating like?)

ask away!

the next ritual will be on Sept 16th (that's a Hellenic ritual, and I believe you said you were more interested in Celtic? But you're welcome to come to that of course) ...the next High Day ritual will be 9/23 and if this one isn't Celtic, I will die of shock.

Rituals are held outside in the sanctuary. Seating space is plentiful. You can stand, sit on the ground or sit on a chair or bench- we have lots of chairs and a couple of benches, but if you want to bring your own, you're welcome to. We only retreat inside if the weahter is really too dangerous to be outside- I think you read about the weather at Midsummer? We were inside for Imbolc this year, but it was raining just as badly at Midsummer....and it was probably 60 degrees colder.

anyhtign else you want to know, just ask!
