So I just dropped about a dozen more resumes within the last couple of hours.

Got a response to one...well, just now. They were all ready to set up an interview and THEN they mention that having a car is required for the job (though the position involves sitting at a desk all day with no potential travel and the company will not consider a candidate without a car. )

WHY do so many places leave out crucial details?

This one was a lot nicer when I suggested mentioning that in their ad though.

Robert Half is the company that's called me like six times with jobs that are WAY outside of any skills listed on my resome. Cisco engineer, database administration, flash programmer... never heard of randstad

so i can't type. but yeah, it seems like the esteemed folks at the local Robert Half offices aren't trained to actually read people's resume's

Randstad is evil, IMO. They're a temp company that guarantees you that you'll work every day, and that you'll get whatever rate you qualified for when you go in to do all their software tests. The catch is that you'll work every day, 9-5, and you'll take whatever job they give you regardless of what it is or where it is. Worst temp experience I ever had, but if you're not picky over what you do and you're willing to wear dressy clothes to unload a tractor trailer, it might work for you.
