What in the effing h is up with people on public transportation that they need to be as loud as they are? Large groups- keep in mind this is only my observance- mostly of women, and mostly of a particular racial background, and much more so in the evening than in the morning- laughing like wild hyenas, clapping their hands so hard I'm just waiting for one of them to break a few fingers, stomping their feet, yelling "girlfriend no you didn't!"

And above all, KNOWING how obnoxious they're being..this happens almost every evening after work, but last night was the worst...there was one girl who kept emitting these earplitting shrieks roughly six inches from my ears yesterday evening and then saying "Oh, I'm probably giving this poor lady in front of me a headache, I should be quieter." Followed by another shriek.

This sort of thign is literally painful to me. Not only my ears, but bodily painful. It feels like someone is repeatedy kicking me just below my ribcage, and stabbing pins into my spinal cord. Once I started seeing spots in front of me, I got up and moved to the front of the car which was just as crowded, but miraculously quieter. Unfortunately, I was still feeling like hell when I got off the train...and then as it was rolling by, I guess somethign scrapped harder than usual because the worst sounds I've ever heard from the light rail trains came from the tracks- I just can't describe these metallic squeals and scrapes....and at that point I nearly passed out. And It took me most of the walk home to recover...it's like it physically weakens me.
