badstarToday was a long day. A good day, but a long one. I did about three straight hours of energy work on 8 or 9 different people.
I've also found a very good ritual use for Run Valdr. Opening the gates. Gave it a shot today. (DOn't worry, we made sure to close them.) I've felt some strong gate openings....but nothing like this, and trying it out today wasn't even in a ritual setting...I can't wait for Yule. (Cedarlight often does a Norse celebration for Yule. Tradition will be maintained this year. This will be incorporated into the ritual.)

Date: 2006-11-27 02:22 am (UTC)Well, normally if I'm working on the gates, they get me to open the Fire gate. Shocker there, eh? (THere are three- the fire, the well and the tree. The fire is a gate to the above world, the well is a gate to the below world and the tree is a gate to other places in this world.). The fire is about the size of your average campfire, sometimes a bit smaller in the summer. Opening the gate feels like...well, it feels to me like a door opening out into a windstorm, and the heat of the fire getting a lot more intense.
There was no actual fire lit today, so there was no heat. What this felt like to me was like a door rising up out of the ground, and then opening to the sky. The well and tree were similar.
