I just talked to Chelle.

After insisting that I not buy a dress (lest I should pick something that not match the kitchen wall paint, I'm sure) she now wants me to pay for half of the cost of the dress making and materials.

(I know it's a common thing for bridesmaids to pay for their dress. I've done it before. But this is not reasonable. I told her I probably couldn't- which is true, and that I would have to let her know closer to the wedding.)

Damn, and I already dyed my hair. The only thing keeping me from bleaching it out and making it pink again is the damage factor.

That's it...I'm getting blue extensions for this thing. Or purple. Or green. Maybe even rainbow. I dunno, but it's not gonna be "normal"

The actual amount of money wouldn't be so bad if I weren't kinda tight on cash- which she is very aware of. What really gets me is that months ago when I had it, I tried to get her to let me buy one, she refused and said that she was paying for what she wanted, and that i should just shut up because she was paying for the whole thing. But then because of that I'm having to fork over just to go up there for 24 hours and try it on, on top of going up there for the wedding itself. Now she wants me to pay half for the dress- after the whole "I'm paying for what I want" thing. And pay for some friend to do my hair. It's not entirely what she wants done, but the fact that she wants me to cough up more and more money on such little notice.

Depends on the price of the hairstyling. Fuego was one of my bridesmaids when I got married. She didn't want to get her hair done at the place I took everyone the morning of the wedding, so I let her do her own hair. I made sure all the bridesmaids had the same color dress, but hairdo is a matter of personal preference. Different textures, lengths, etc...

I tried not to cross the line into bridezilla territory.
