So as I was on my way to the train today, I ran into chironcentaur on her way back to the house from work. We stopped and were talking for a minute when this guy comes running across the street, apologizes for interrupting us and says that he needs a woman's opinion on on something. Then starts babbling on about a poem that he just wrote and he wants our opinions on it. And then goes on and on about ow he wants us to be honest. Finally, I just said "Okay, fine but I'm on my way to work, so go ahead and read it.

So he did. It was really a beautiful poem. Gavin and I both told him so...and his response was to start yelling "No way! Are you fucking with me? I took three minutes to write this! Stop fucking with me!" (At that point, I was slightly afraid that he was going to haul off and attack one of us...but another woman came walking down the block and he ran over to her, she brushed him off saying that she was late for a train. I left to go catch my own train, but when I looked back from partway down the block, he was back to talking to Gavin.

So hey Gav, how did that conversation end???

I told him, "It was awful, is that what you want to hear?" So he asked again for my honest opinion and I repeated what I said before. When I eventually told him I do writing myself, he seemed more willing to accept my opinion.

'Fraid not. Silver Ravenwolf is a real person, writes some of the most godawful books on "Wicca" that ever were published. Of course, anyone with half a brain takes her about as seriously as a cartoon character. Maybe less so.
