Just For One Night...
Aug. 20th, 2007 11:24 pmI'd like to not have to listen to a coworker snoring, or have them turn off all the lights in the place (and complain about the cleaning people when they turn them on.)
Edit for more bitching: Dammit, why would you take a night job with the intention of being awake during the day??? If you're not going to sleep during the day, go back to a day shift. I really don't care if you're sleeping if there's nothing to do but this is my job too, and I'm not here to listen to you snore for hours at a time. If I can hear it over the music playing on my computer, it's too loud. Please have a bit of consideration.

Date: 2007-08-21 03:57 am (UTC)Sleeping on the job in and of itself isn't quite a crime around here, not for the night shift anyway. I've done it myself on occasion, but it's been short cat naps here and there. As long as you wake up to answer your phone when it rings (and I don't think there's ever been a case where someone hasn't), they don't really give a rip. Unfortunately, both of my coworkers spend most of the night sleeping and I wouldn't really care, except that they both snore- Gary's not too bad, and usually only snores for a few minutes at a time but Tony spends the night sawing logs. Both of them turn off the lights and bitch about the cleaning people turning them on.
