Keeping Promises To Myself...
Jan. 28th, 2008 12:55 am...of reading at least one fictional novel/month- I'm on my third.
I reread First Rider's Call (a bit better than I remembered from last time I read it...or maybe it just seemed that way knowing that I had a sequel waiting for me.)
Finished reading High King's Tomb...can't wait for the 4th book in the series, wonder how many there's going to be.
Today, I started on Scar Night. Starting a little slow but very interesting despite. I can't wait to get more into it.
On other fronts, I'm still working on Walden. Damn you, Thoreau. A couple of us are talking about starting a study group at the grove for the CTP...I think this will definitely be a good thing.
Overslept today and by the time I woke up, ther was no point going to the grove, so instead Gavin and I went up to Towson- hit Trader Joe's because I'm just about out of coffee, then Barnes and Noble. Ended up having to go to Barnes and Noble down at the Harbor in pursuit of a book that Gavin wanted that wasn't in stock up in Towson (No big deal but for a 25% off coupon expiring today...lol) Hit Borders on the way- I picked up a journal that I've been eying for a while, also using a coupon expiring today (I'm a Barnes & Noble member, and have a Borders Rewards card. So they send me these things.) At the Harbor, took advantage of their buy 2 dvd's, get the third free sale and got Dark City and Black Orpheus (the 1959 version, haven't seen the 2003 yet, despite proddings from Dan, my Brazilian coworker) couldn't find a third movie in stock that I wanted that wouldn't have made me spend any more (Otherwise, I might have bought half of their foreign and Criterion Collection stock- I really want the 3-disk set of Brazil but am not spending $60 on a movie right now.), so I told Gavin to find something. Then went to the grocery store, and came home and I made some really good chicken sandwiches.
Ok, time to go and do some things...
Damn, I was going to re-fuschia my hair tonight. Oh well, I could do that during the day tomorrow.
