It's been a very rare phenomenon but from here on out, fighting isn't gonna happen on my journal. At all. (Unless on a capricious whim I decide to start something with someone on my journal, which if you've been reading for any length of time you probably know that it's happened...oooooh...never in the seven years that my journal has existed.)
So unless sanctioned by me, any arguments will be cut off at my most immediate convenience. If you don't honor my request to stop, your comments will be deleted, you'll be removed from my friends list and whatever else it occurs to me to do. That's not to say that people can't have opposing opinions/views/whatever on topics on which I post, but keep it civil. Take a little perverse joy in being the one who doesn't look like an ass if someone tries to start with you, gloat a little to yourself if you want. (Just don't talk about how you're doing so or you will look like an ass.)
If anyone posts anything from my journal anywhere else and I find out about it, you'll be off my friends list immediately. I delete LJ posts first, read comments later, still don't care. I don't care who you are, what the reasons. I don't care if you're posting it as the subject of odes of praise. If you want to repost something somewhere else, ask me first. If I say no, you lock step and obey or, well, you know what happens.

Date: 2008-03-16 02:19 am (UTC)Basically, two people got into an argument about Hellenic reconstruction that...devolved, to say the least, and then someone else, who was not participating in the exchange linked to the post from elsewhere.
So...unless you've suddenly become a woman in Texas or a guy in Oregon (or one of them have become you), you were nowhere near this one so...no worries.
