I know it's after midnight on a friday and a lot of folks won't see this...so i'll probably end up reposting on Monday.

but is anyone available on the weekend of July 20th to help move? Gavin and I are moving back to Mt Vernon and well, we can't walk the stuff over from Coppin Heights :-P

Unlike last time, we're going to rent a UHaul. Also unlike last time, I will be in a position to provide food and beverage to whoever helps.

However...unlike last time, just so you know, we are moving into a 4th-floor walkup apartment.

Saturday or sunday. We will get the Uhaul will be the day on which we can get the most help. (And really, I'd like to keep this to one day as much as possible, though I've got some possible help for a few runs of light stuff before the weekend.

Please let me know if you can help!!

A million thanks in advance!

Yeah, 100 chickens. Well, 97 I think, after attrition. You always lose a few. It's a ton of work. We just finished moving (well, half of our move... theo ther half happens after sis gives birth in December), so I sympathise completely.

I can sympathize with you as well. I moved to Baltimore from Massachusetts, I know what a nightmare pain in the ass the trip from Maryland to New England is. Good luck on the second half of your move.

Thanks. We actually made the trip from MD to NH this weekend. We did it in 11 hours (we had toddlers with us, and Amo was on his motorcycle). It was long and weary but we made it. The trip back will only be about 7 to 8 hours, though, as we will only have to stop for bathroom breaks. Amo's been making the run EVERY weekend, so he can see us. He's working and staying all week in NH with friends of ours who run a bed and breakfast, and then driving back to MD/PA on Friday night after work. He arrives home around 3am, sleeps til 8am and is up, does stuff around the house all day saturday, then Sunday at 1pm he's back on the road again. Plus he's working just outside of Boston, so driving about 2 hours to work and 2 hours home each day. poor guy...
