Given the scale of the US...

I think it would almost have been better to break large countries down into regions about as large as the average country. Canada would naturally break down into provinces and territories (perhaps further), the US broken down into States, and most of Europe left as-is -- perhaps Britain broken down into England, Wales, and Scotland.

If I looked at a world map with the countries I did highlighted, it would look like I've been almost everywhere in North America. Most of my travels are east of the Mississippi, plus Niagara Falls and Toronto.
