Yesterday (Okay, now Tuesday) was my birthday. No celebration Tuesday. There was Comcast stupidity and they had to send a tech out, and I was tired. And the present which
chironcentaur procured for me only arrived after I left for work....so we celebrated today.
I was a bit late getting home from work, no thinks to the MTA. but I got home and climbed the steps to our apartment to find Gavin's stuffed turkey, aptly named Dinner, sitting outside the door, holding a "Happy Birthday" balloon. Then I found a dozen roses waiting on the shelf sitting just inside our door, and Gavin waiting for me with my present.
I opened it to find a wolf, carved of sodalite. This was hilarious because I had tried to get a sodalite wolf for her in Colorado- there was a new-age/pagan store near the hotel that had a bunch of carved animals, but no sodalite wolves. [Unknown site tag] had one for sale back at Pagan Pride Day and I was planning to drop her an email this week and see if she still had one and get it for Gavin for Christmas if I could.
Wouldn't you know it, that's who she bought this one from. (Hey,
verginiamus, do you have another one?) Well, now my shrine has three of Apollo's animals...the wolf, which Gavin gave me, a dolphin that
nofate301 gave me and a swan, which is part of the statue that I have of him.
Along with balloon, flowers and present, she had gotten me one of my favorite vitamin water and gone to XS to get waffles with mascarpone for breakfast. After breakfast, there was much-needed sleep. It was a nice quiet little birthday breakfast with the woman I love and that makes me happy.

Date: 2008-12-05 03:03 pm (UTC)She is totally ruining me cold and evil reputation with posts like this. Now I got to go out to Inner Harbor and start kicking school children into the water to repair the damage. :-P
