1. Was 2008 a good year for you?

Overall, yes, though there were some spectacularly sucktastic elements to it.

2. What was your favorite moment of the year?
See the next question...and then fast forward to the next day when Gavin conceeded her feelings to me.

3. What was your least favorite moment of the year?
One Tuesday night in late April, Gavin and I got into an argument. The only way to end it was to tell her how I felt. it was bad enough when I was typing it (I was at work, she was at home)- I deleted and retyped it fifty times- but then I finally hit "enter"...that was the worst. I actually hid under my desk waiting for her to respond...and it took a long time. That waiting for a response was one of the most torturous moments of my life.

Discovering my allergy to fluoricine the hard way ranked up there with the sucktastic moments too. And the actual moving into the new apartment, that day just..uhg, I don't want to think about it.

4. What are your plans for 2009?
pass the CVE exam. Have Christmas in January with Gavin. Visit Oregon, move to Oregon. Um....

5. What countries did you visit?
just the ones in my head

6. What date in 2008 will remain etched in your memory?
One Tuesday night in late April. (the twenty-something, but both of us are happy to remember it as April twenty-something-or-other)
July 19th- the day we moved into the new apartment

7. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
making it through the first four months, getting out of the ghetto, falling in love and not running away, even when the need to run away eventually reared its head again

8. What was your biggest failure?
not figuring out where I stand in regards to ADF (please don't lecture me about how this is not a failure. I don't care how you define it, for me it is to a certain degree.)

9. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
A cold in the spring and one in November

10. What was the best thing you bought?
wasn't exactly a purchase but I have to echo Gavin's answer of the lease to our new apartment in Mount Vernon

11. Who's behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
A certain former roommate. Comcast. Various members of the staff of my doctor's office. Assorted politicians. Large segments of the city of Baltimore.

26. What did you want and get?
This was a year for getting a lot of thigns I wanted...I got Gavin, an apartment in Mt Vernon, a new ipod, a nostril piercing, to go to Colorado for my CVE class and meet the people that I work with, a piece of Apollo jewelery which I'd figured I'd never find- two actually, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] greenfernway and [livejournal.com profile] erl_queen, a comfortable pair of sneakers that wasn't cheap-o and I didn't have to spend a fortune on (I'd been looking for almost a year), more specific direction in my personal religious stuff

LASIK surgery, figuring out where I stand with respect to ADF,

figuring out the ADF thing

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?

35. Who did you miss?
Alex, Mama Edna

Each and every poor soul who wanted tech support after hours and didn't have a contract.

37. Did somebody treat you badly in 2008?

That I could fall in love and that it's possible to need someone in your life without it being unhealthy or co-dependent

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year...

"I feel just like somebody else/ Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same"
