badstarHey folks, I'm in need of a little help here.
I've got this skirt that I really love, but there's a problem- It's too long. As in it's one of those tiered skirts, and the second-lowest tier ends around my ankles, it's got a another tier a good foot in width below it. It's hard to wear without tripping and nearly killing myself. (Kinda insane, considering how tall I am...all I can think of is that it must have been manufactured with giants in mind.)
Much as I'd rather not do this, I think the best thing to do to prevent self-injury or possibly damaging the skirt itself one of these days is to just take the last tier off and hem off the remaining edge. I'm hoping that I can find someone who might be able to do it. Unless there's something about rayon that I don't know, it should be a fairly easy job. Hell, I could get a seam-ripper and remove the bottom tier myself if someone were willing to hem the remaining edge (I would just want a really narrow hem, just enough to fold the edge over and sew it down so as to keep it from fraying.
If it matters, like I said, it's rayon but it's not the really slippery sort- it almost feels a bit more cotton-like, and the current bottom circumference is somewhere in the neighborhood of 180".
Anyone able to do this at some point in the not too distant future? Drop me a comment here and let me know what sort of compensation you would find reasonable (Like I said, I don't think it's a difficult or particularly time-consuming job, but I'm also not very knowledgeable about sewing sort of things.)

I don't sew myself, so I have to get everything thing hemmed at a tailor.
