1. Easter. Went to PA. Had candy, came back to Baltimore. Family generally traumatized over my hair color.
2. 2 weeks later- lost wallet. Lost ID, all that fun stuff. Big mess. Went to PA to replace ID because Maryland is exceptionally irksome. Family getting used to my hair color.
3. Week after that-
justchelsea's wedding. Lovely day. After all the minor crises averted by me and Dan. I now know how to de-wrinkle a veil in a hurry and iron a train properly. And the dress that I wore is in official retirement after having wine spilled on it and being ripped when caught on rosebushes. I'm thinking of cutting it off knee-length, it would make a great short skirt...But yeah, the wedding was great, The goal was accomplished- Chelsea and Mike got married without any major setbacks. Woohoo!
4. Late that night- came back to Baltimore. Fred picked me up at bus station, blabbed on about Inter-Tribal Powwow next day. I listened only enough to acknowledge the babbling once in a while
5. Next day- Fred told me that Kathleen was spinning that day at Inter-Tribal Powwow. This time I listened. Talked to Kathleen, decided to go. Went first to Sheldon's opening at...well, I forget the name of the place but I know exactly where it is. I had kim chee for the first time. Interesting. Then went to the Powwow...lots of crazy people, lots of music I didn't like, it was lots of fun (no, it really was!) Windy day, Very Windy. We spun after the last band. Malcom and Kate were there too...they did a whole Choreographed Thing that just rocked, and then Kathleen, I and some guy whose name I don''t remember spun. Lots of wind- seriously, it felt like a hurricaine, threatening rain and I was ready to go. Rain poured down within seconds of finishing up...literally. And literally poured. Soaked beyond belief in a matter of seconds, I'm so not exaggerating. The weather extremes and the fire made for a really amazing evening.
6. a few weeks after that...2 weekends ago...PDF...I have to agree with a post by um...
kazoogrrl I think osmething about the more rocing something is, the less you want to write...
This was my 6th PDF. And all of them have rocked. This however, was the first one that I can honestly say was better than my first burn. I might actually post a separate entry about it though.
Since then...work. Discovered Netflix, signed up, added roughly 200 movies to queue
First movie was Kristin Lavransdatter- Norwegian flick about a girl in medieval times who enters a convent for a year to postpone an arranged marriage...and then falls for another guy. Really good movie actually. I'd watch it again. Seriously recommend. The church-burning scene had me in tears. Warning- 3-hour movie. In Norwegian. If you're not into reading the movie, you might not like it. Then again, the dialogue isn't too excessive...aw, hell. Just watch the flippin' movie.
Next up...fire spinning at Free Spirit Gathering's Saturday night ritual with Kathleen (maybe a few others too?
vees?) That's next week. In the meantime...off work tomorrow. Probably spend some time spinning. Can I talk anyone into playing safety so I can light up?
15 minutes left to lunch. Hmm...
