I will get my packing done by Sunday *grits teeth*

I went down to the Harbor this evening intending to pick up a pair of gloves that I was looking at last Monday. Heathery orange, non-scratchy wool with funky coffs made of a different yarn with a popcorn knit and metallic thread woven in. And the store was not there. There was a bikini store there. No kidding. I stopped at the body shop...I wanted to pick up a mini-size blueberry body butter to try out. I've got the papaya, and both smell uber-yummy...but winter is coming and the blueberry is formulated for dryer skin, so I thought I'd try it for the winter. Annnnnd...they were out of the mini-sized blueberry. So the salesgirl says "Oh...well I can give you a sample jar to take home....so she gets out a little sample jar and scoops some from the tester container...and then tells me that they can provide take-home samples of just about anything in the store. Which just rocks. So I got this little mini jar of blueberry body butter which smells gooe enough to eat, and I think I might have to go back and buy some.

Then I wandered to the other end of the bulding....and found the store where I was going to buy gloves. They hasd moved the store. They were out of the orange gloves. But they did have these mittens that were made of a super-soft velour-type material and looked and felt almost exactly like suede and were completely lined with this super-soft faux fur material. I may just have to get those. If I have the good sense to wake up early enough I will go there tomorrow before work and get them. And they're not knit so they don't have the open-weave like the orange cloves did...so wind won't blow through them.

And then I went across the street and stopped at the Galleria, there was a new stand with all kinds of sparkly crystal barettes and hair clips and stuff, and a sales clerk who tried to get me to buy them by showing me how to put my hair up with these clips (Amaziong, she was able to put my hair up with *combs* No one can make my hair do ANYTHINg with combs...it's just too fine) And I was all set to buy this silver butterfly clip with peach and orange crystals...$45 *cringe* I've got a couple of fairly ornate, fancy clips that I've spent $20 or $25 on...but there's gotta be a line somewhere. Also, I'm moving in a week. No crystal butterfly clip for Fuego.

I went downstairs and picked up a small box of Godiva truffles...because darnit, I deserve ridiculously overpriced chocolate once in a while (Just a note...I *highly* recommend the pabana and the mojito truffles (Pabana=passion fruit and banana in a chocolate truffle cream. Mojito- lime and spearmint...supposedly mixed with a rum...but I didn't taste the rum. It's just as well.)

After that, I went up to Mick O'Shea's to see who would show up...I already knew that Rob, Suzy, Phil, Ben and Kathleen wouldn't be there...I didn't know who *would* be.

Got there to find Eric waiting outside, it was fairly crowded, no one else was there, he didn't want to take a table to himself. So when I got there, we went in, ended up taking a table by the bar and waiting for a while to see if anyone else would show...no one did. So we had dinner together, it was lots of fun. Great conversation, witty banter.

Hahaha everyone else, see what a fun time you missed?

Sucky service. The bartender all but ignored us. I had to go up to the bar to get my drink refilled. We had to flag him down to order. Ah well.

Then we decided to leave and go wandering around. More witty banter and talk about apocolyptic (Would you believe Acropoliptic?!?) movies.

Oh yeah, Eric- this is the graphic that I was talking about, the tree-ish thing...

Time for me to sleep.
