I've got the super-special two-hour-long eye doctor appointment in Annapolis on Friday with the industrial-strength eye dilation and all that jazz to be sure I'm good for LASIK surgery.

I'm so not looking forward to it.

But I am excited about the possibility of being able to see without glasses. Though, after almost 22 years...it will be weird not to wear them (dammit, and I just spent $200 on them two months ago!)

I really like these frames...I was telling my mom that I'd be half tempted to get some non-prescription lenses made for them and wear them on occasion anyway.

That's exciting and scary at the same time!I would love to be able to see without glasses! (speaking of which I hope my eye doctor appointment comes up soon cause my prescription is so out of date).

hehe...yeah, thought I told you aout that. It was just a momentary thing right before I woke up one morning.. "Hi. You're not scary." (Though, I'm pretty hard to convince that any god is scarier than Apollo...)

it's not a safety thing, it's an I've worn them, for 22 years and I'm used to them thing. Oh, and like I said, I just forked over barely two months ago for them and I'm getting ready to try to get rid of them.

Oooh, hope all the lasik stuff goes well! As my husband reminds me, every day post-lasik is a gift for me! It really has been lovely to live life NOT encased behind heavy windows.

I also have to say, I made the mistake of going alone to my pre-Lasik appointment, and drove home with the funky dialated eyes. I could barely see the road. NOT SMART!

Again, I really hope all goes so well!
