Yeah ... it's just sad. Everytime I venture outside of NA I remember why I nearly gave up on Hellenic polytheism.

Addendum: after reading that thread again, and being forced to comment, I propose the creation of a new group:

The Hemlock Society. For people who want a Hellenic polytheism not choked by philosophical arguments.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good philosophical discourse. I enjoy reading and engaging in a discussion on the nature of the Theoi. I enjoy civil debates on certain philosophical topics.

What I don't enjoy is the egotistical posturing that goes on and on and usually from people who have no place making self-implications of spiritual advancement. If one is truly that advanced, then it will show, no posturing necessary; if one is truly that advanced and still flailing around one's ego, regardless, then one should not be surprised, much less annoyed, that nobody is believing them. The Dali Lama isn't a pretentious prick and he doesn't talk down to people -- why doesn't this get through to people like "the numbed finger reawakened"?

The other reason why I don't get along with the Hellenic High Ones, got tired of hearing them laugh at me, so I walked away. Their loss not mine.
